Graduate Application Checklist
Applying to a UAS graduate program? Use this checklist to gather all required materials before submitting your application through UAOnline. Incomplete applications are not reviewed.
Required Materials
Completed UA Application (UAOnline)
$50 application fee (waived for Alaska Native applicants and UA employees)
Official Undergraduate Transcripts
All institutions attended. Must show a bachelor's degree conferred with minimum 3.0 GPA (2.75 conditional admission possible).
Personal Statement (500–750 words)
Describe your professional goals, why you chose this program, and how UAS fits your career path.
Three Letters of Recommendation
From professional supervisors or academic faculty who can speak to your graduate readiness. Letters mailed directly by recommenders to the Graduate School.
Current Résumé or CV
Include all professional experience, certifications, publications, and community service relevant to your chosen program.
Program-Specific Requirements
M.Ed. applicants must provide evidence of a teaching position or pre-admission advising if entering as non-practicing teachers. M.P.A. requires 2+ years of relevant work experience.
