Clery Act Compliance
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires UAS to publish annual crime statistics, timely warning notices, and campus security policies for current and prospective students and employees.
Annual Security Report (ASR)
The UAS Annual Security Report is published by October 1 each year and contains three years of campus crime statistics, campus security policies, emergency procedures, and resources for victims of crime, sexual assault, and domestic violence. The report covers all UAS Clery geography including the Juneau, Ketchikan, and Sitka campuses and non-campus locations.
Request the Current ASR →Campus Security Authorities (CSA)
Certain UAS employees are designated Campus Security Authorities (CSAs) under the Clery Act and are required to report crimes disclosed to them. CSAs include Campus Safety officers, Student Affairs staff, coaches, academic advisors, and student organization advisors. CSAs do not have confidentiality obligations — reports must be forwarded to Campus Safety.
Timely Warnings & Emergency Notifications
UAS is required to issue Timely Warnings for Clery crimes that represent a continuing threat to campus safety. Emergency Notifications are issued for immediate threats. Both are distributed via the UAS Alert system (email and text), digital displays, and the Campus Safety website.
