Veterans Services
UAS is proud to serve Alaska's veteran and military community. Our Veterans Services office certifies GI Bill benefits, connects students with VA resources, and advocates for military-connected students on campus.

How to Use Your Benefits
- 1Apply to UAS and be admitted to a degree or certificate program.
- 2Apply for VA education benefits at va.gov (first-time users).
- 3Submit your VA Certificate of Eligibility and VA enrollment certification request to the UAS Veterans Services office.
- 4UAS certifies your enrollment to the VA each semester. Allow 6–8 weeks for first-time payments.
Military-Friendly Policies
UAS follows Alaska's military-friendly campus standards: deployed students may withdraw penalty-free, receive full tuition refunds, and return to their program without reapplying within two years of separation. Active duty students receive priority registration.
