Traditionally, students from Western states had to apply for the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program to receive a reduced tuition rate (usually 150% of in-state costs).
With the new Alaska Unlocked initiative, UAS charges regular, standard in-state tuition to all undergraduate students nationwide — no applications, GPA thresholds, or credit caps required.
