All summer, fall, and spring graduates from the academic year are invited to participate in the single annual Commencement ceremony in Juneau. Ketchikan and Sitka graduates are warmly welcomed and UAS covers shuttle coordination from the ferry terminal for off-campus guests.
Graduation Application Deadlines

Apply for graduation in UAOnline under Student Services → Apply for Graduation. Late applications incur a $25 fee and may delay diploma printing.
Regalia & Honor Cords
Cap & Gown (Regalia)
Order through the UAS Bookstore (Herff Jones vendor). Deadline: March 15. Cap and gown: $45. Doctoral hood rental: $25. Hood purchase: $75.
Honor Cords & Stoles
Summa Cum Laude (gold), Magna Cum Laude (silver), Cum Laude (bronze). Alaska Native Graduation Stoles available through Native Student Services. Military honor cords through Student Affairs.
